We thought our candy apple quest would come to an end when a nearby city announced they were having an applefest. Surely an entire festival dedicated to apples would produce several vendors selling candy apples. That was not the case. We walked around the festival for a couple hours and not a candy apple to be seen, much less eaten.
Finally, when I thought we would never get Sarah a candy apple, I had the good fortune to stumble across an online company that sells candy apples. Wild Orchards is that company. They have some great candy apples. They start with these huge Granny Smith apples and the cover it with lots of candy coating. They have all kinds of different flavors. We really like the originial (cherry) and cotton candy flavors. If you are a candy apple fan, don't waste your time, like we did, searching all around town. Give Wild Orchards a try!

That's a "sweet" tip.
I didn't know there was a difference between the two.
