You may find this hard to believe, but I had never seen an Indiana Jones movie until the end of last year. It is not that it was intentional not to see them. I just never got around to it. I knew they were classics, that everyone loved, so I did want to see them. It just never happened.
Apparently, there are a lot of classic movies I have yet to see. Here are a few that have escaped my view:
Casablanca
It's a Wonderful life
Dances with Wolves
Gone with the Wind
The Godfather I,II, and III
Schindler's list
Silence of the Lambs
The Terminator
Braveheart
Die Hard Series
Shrek
Gladiator
Rain Man
The Lord of the Rings
The Matrix
A Beautiful Mind
Remember the Titans
The Dark Knight
Wow! That is a lot of highly rated movies I have yet to watch. What about you? What movies have you not seen that everyone else calls a classic?

The one that blows EVERYONE'S mind is that I've never seen Titanic! Sorry, but watching people drown in large numbers doesn't sound like entertainment to me!
Of your list, I highly recommend you get into the Shrek series (there are three of them now, with a Christmas special as well). The humor is HYSTERICAL and the boys would love them!!
I may have to go on strike on your blog...I comment often and you NEVER leave me comments on MY blog! Getting a bit perturbed at you, Scott...
Teresa =)
I had never seen Greece until I was in my late 20's. I also haven't seen many of the movies off of your list, and I've also never seen Hairspray (the original with Ricki Lake -- I have seen the updated one with John Travolta).
I think Sarah meant to say she just recently saw Grease.
Teresa, I am sorry. I do enjoy reading your blog, but I just don't seem to be the commenting type. Which is bad, because I love having people comment on my blog. So, I will see what I can do about commenting on your blog. I am looking forward to hearing all about your upcoming trip to bring Molly home. You guys are in our prayers.
Scott you are not permitted back in VA until you have seen
The Dark Knight
Die Hard
The Matrix (one only)
Almost all the movies are really good but to be related to the Shepherd's these are none negotiables.
As for me it's the Harry Potter movies. Up until last week I had never seen a Harry Potter film. Monica and I watched all five last week.
Unfortunately, I don't agree with Rob. I've seen 2 of the 3 movies he listed. I wish I could have the 2 hours of my life back from when I watched The Matrix. Die Hard is a good movie, I have to admit, but certainly not one of my fav's. I would like to see Dark Knight, just because I've heard a lot of people have really liked it, but it's not the kind of movie I usually enjoy. We will try to check it out before we come to Virginia in December.
BTW, yes, I did mean Grease. And yes, teachers and English majors sometimes (but very rarely) make mistakes. :)
