The Super Bowl is 1 week away. Normally, when my team is out of the picture, I don't have a rooting interest in who wins. This year, however, I do. I am rooting for the Arizona Cardinals for 2 reasons. 1) I don't care for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Being a Cleveland Browns fan, I can't, in good faith, root for the Steelers. 2) There is a player on the Cardinals team that I think is worthy to be rooted for. That player is quarterback Kurt Warner.
I can root for Kurt Warner, not only because he is a very good quarterback, but because he is a Christian trying to make a difference in the world. He uses his fame to help others. His organization, "First things first", strives to make a difference as I believe God wants all Christ followers to do.
So, next Sunday, When I am in front of my t.v. watching the Super Bowl, I will be rooting for Kurt Warner and the Arizona Cardinals. Next year, I hope to be rooting for the Cleveland Browns in the Super Bowl, but that is another blog for another day.
