This last Sunday, our Pastor's wife, Jill, told Sarah about something that happened in Gravity's children's ministry the Sunday before. She said that it was time to pray and Selleck, our soon to be 3 year old, lead the class in prayer. She said it was cute. He prayed that his Mommy would have a good day among other things. She said she imagined it to be what he probably prays before he goes to bed at night. When Sarah told me about Selleck praying, I almost cried.
I often wonder if Sarah and I are good parents. I like to think we are and we try really hard to be, but you never know. When I heard about Selleck leading in prayer, it made me take a step back and look at how we're bringing up our boys. We try to teach them a lot of things, but most importantly we try to teach them about God. So, I know that we are far from perfect, but I think we are doing a pretty good job.

Scott, that is Awesome! I know many adults who won't pray in public. Very cool.
Scott,
I am so proud of you. When I hear Selleck sing bible songs or pray out loud it means he is being taught to known the Lord. Train up a child in the way he should go,
and that is exactly what you and Sarah are doing
Scott,what a sweet story!Did
WOW! What really blesses me about this is that on his own (without Mom and Dad there) Selleck did what has been modeled for him. I have often found that the truest test of character in a child is what he does when parents are not there.
