One huge bonus, that comes with being a dad, is that I get to have so much fun with my boys. We play with Lego's, blocks, balls, and even a toy cash register. Those toys are always lots of fun. Recently, however, we have taken the fun to new levels. Selleck is getting to the age that his toys are as much fun for me as they are for him. It is so cool!Growing up, I loved playing with Hot Wheels. Now, I get to play with them with my boys. For Christmas, Selleck received a Hot Wheels town where we can drive the cars through the streets, over bridges, and all around the town. It is so much fun. (Where was this when I was growing up?)
Also, Selleck recently received a couple of remote control cars as gifts. I can't tell you how much fun we have had with those cars. We drive them all over the house. Slade loves to watch them and chase them wherever they go. I always thought being a dad would be great, and it is. But, I never knew it would be this much fun!

This really is part of the pleasure of having kids. It brings out the kid in us. I love going through the toy aisles again, thinking of the grandsons. Entering their world in play, brings great pleasure. I've also been meditating on what the scripture means to become like a little child. I think there is a lot packed into this Biblical concept.
