This morning, we leave from Norfolk, Virginia headed for Los Angeles, California. I'm not looking forward to the 6 1/2 hour flight time, but I'm very excited to get to Hollywood. We are sad to leave the boys for 4 days, but they will be in very capable hands. And, I am a firm believer that a husband and wife need to, periodically, take a few days away from their children. It will strengthen our marriage in the long run. Besides, the boys could probably use a few days away from us as well.So, were off to Hollywood

Hurray for Hollywood! Proud of you for earning the trip and for being such a wise husband & dad. So glad you have grandparent support on both sides that allow you to take a break.
Parenting is such a blessing, but it is rigorous. Grand parenting is like going out for a grand 5 course meal that has already been paid. You can relax and savor every morsel without the preparation,cleanup, or cost involved.
