Yo Gabba Gabba

My son, Selleck, loves the t.v. show Yo Gabba Gabba. I can best describe it as a kids show (like Barney or Sesame Street) with a dance beat. The show features DJ Lance Rock and several fun characters. Selleck's favorite is Brobee (he's the little green one).

What I like about this show is that they aren't afraid to step out of the box and be creative. They are reaching the kids that get bored with the normal children's programming. I think this is a great example when it comes to church. When I am working on something for church, I try to use whatever creativity I may have in hopes that we can reach all people, those that are fine with the normal, traditional type of worship and those that want something cool or different. As long as we, as a church, are preaching the Gospel and following God's direction, taking a chance and not being afraid to try something new can prove to be very beneficial in our attempt to reach all people.

We love that show too! I love how it makes songs about eating healthy foods and not biting your friends cool and catchy! I go around singing "Party in my Tummy" all the time!

I am glad I am not the only adult with those songs going through my head. Right now I keep singing "Let's get the sillys out".
