Superman Ice Cream

Ice cream is probably my favorite dessert. I like many different flavors, but, in general, I would say that my favorite is chocolate. However, there was a flavor of ice cream, that was around when I was growing up, that was absolutely amazing. It was called "Superman" ice cream and it was the best. I wish I could describe for you the taste. It was so delicious.

A few years ago, I came across what was called "Superman" ice cream at an ice cream shoppe. I was so excited. However, my excitement was short lived. Apparently, there is some ice cream company out there that is trying to pass off multi-colored vanilla ice cream as "Superman". It was so disappointing. Since then, I have ran across ice cream named "Superman", but they have all turned out to be the multi-colored vanilla type.

So, until I can find the true "Superman" ice cream again, I will stick with chocolate being my favorite. What is your favorite type of ice cream?

No, Superman ice cream wasn't close to the taste of sherbet. It was unique. I wish I could describe it. I have tried the walmart "Superman" and it is more along the lines of multi-colored vanilla.

Mim, It looks like a road trip to Texas might be in my future. I sure hope it is the real "Superman" and not the fake/vanilla. That would be an awfully long drive to be disappointed! The girl in that post found "Superman", when she was little, at a small ice cream shoppe. I enjoyed it from a small trolley that served ice cream in my home town. Probably the same supplier.
